Pregnancy Tests / Results

Okay- so I am wondering / concerned / excited / scarred that I might be pregnant again. I have tested but got a negative on Dollar Store tests (I got positives with my previous pregnancies on these after I missed my period).   I started about a week ago- to have a really upset stomach for days, then one day my nipples hurt (which I thought was darn strange!), then I was kind of just not feeling great, tired.  So I thought perhaps I caught a bug. Then I realized perhaps not? I was due for AF today- so far no show- usually wake up with it. I admit last month I was late, late, late because of all of the stress of dealing with a love one dying, etc. But other then general life issue- stress shouldn’t be the cause. I am scheduled for Hernia repair on Nov 9^th, and of course they will give me a test with my pre-op stuff next week. Yesterday and today I have cramps- no AF. My back is killing me- like when I get my period really bad..nothing…I remember feeling this way previous when I was pregnant- you know going to the bathroom praying for no blood. OMG?! So- I am debating getting a better test to take tomorrow AM but this is killing me- I am completely preoccupied with it. Sorry had to tell someone---I don’t think my employer would be real happy---baby in 08, 09, and again? I love children and believe every child ‘planned’ or not is a blessing- so I would be scarred but thrilled. Plus- I have to have progesterone to sustain pregnancies-so I need to know soon. 

I'd say give it a day or two and test again - or since you need to early for the progesterone purposes, see if you dr can do a blood test for you.

Also, I'm sorry about the death of your loved one.  It's possible your body is still out of whack from the stress of that.

TEST!!!   for real $ store tests didnt give me a bfp until way after frer and ept digital

I had three back to back. lol  I know how you feel.  If you are worried about the hernia repair and not know, rest a sure, they will test the when you go in.  Christian is 3 months old and I had surgery a few weeks ago, knowing that they still tested me. Came in said not preggo.  I laughed at them and said well duh. lol  I love the digital preg test.  There is no way of getting a mixed reading.  I hated those you add to squint to see and wonder if there was a line or not or is that a faint line or not. 

So then the Positive I got on my digital test is pretty accurate? I am 7 months out and sooo very surprised by this. I tried for 7 years and then today, thought I maybe pregnant and decided to check and sure enough in like 5 seconds it cam up in words "pregnant". So should I test again? I mean according to my calculations I would be 9 weeks....YIKES!!!

It is very rare to get a "false positive"....when a test is wrong it is usually a false negative....digital tests are pretty sensitive so yeah you're pregnant....make yourself an appointment with your doctor as soon as possible....and btw congradulations...I too tried for a long time then finally gave up, decided at 30 I was bound to be childless...then out of nowhere I just  "knew" I was pregnant, AF was "late" and tested with a dollar store test just to make sure I "wasn't"...however in less than 30 seconds there were two bright lines....I ended up testing three more store tests and then again had a blood test to confirm at my doc's office...here it is over a month later and I'm going into my second trimester...(sorry to have hi-jacked this thread)...anyway yeah I would bet you are for sure pregnant!

I think I would find doctor now.  Everytime mine said preggo I was.   The doctor will do a blood test but yea, I would say you are.   That is how mine did.  I did mine in the afternoon at Target. lol  I didn't have time to put it down and it showed a postive.  I went in and found out I was 13 weeks then.  Now he is 4 months tomorrow. lol

I bought a two pack of dig. tests...took one last night- got "not pregnant"...then took the dollar store test this am and go 1 control line only.  So- I am assuming my body is confused from all of the stress, coping with the loss of my "father" (actually my step father but I considered him my father)  after shifts of caring for him on hospice, planning his funeral with my mother, having out of town "family" stay Wilth us, explaining to my 2 year old where pappy is...not been really easy.  But if AF doesn't show by the weekend I will take the other dig test.  I know they will officially test me next week for pre-op testing.  Darn- I guess I am having that surgery after all.  Thanks all- and to the others yes- definitely a pregnant on a test is pregnant---take your vits and call your DR.  Good luck to all those actively trying!

With everything going on in your life you may just want to get a blood test from your dr. Usually they can do it without it even being an office visit. Peace of mind may be worth the hassle of driving to the office. You'll have the results in less than a day and you'll know with 100% certainty. Good luck with whatever God decides for you!!
